2 core fire alarm cable is a kind of fire alarm cable commonly used in security and alarm systems to transmit electrical signals between various components, such as sensors, detectors, control panels, and notification devices. Constructed of two insulated copper conductors within the PVC or LSZH sheath, the fire alarm cable 2 core can also be shielded with aluminum foil to ensure signal quality. Due to its special purpose, alarm wire is typically resistant to flame and heat. Common fire alarm cable specification include 2 core 1.5mm fire alarm cable and 14/2 fire alarm wire.

Fire alarm and control cables are made of soft-drawn copper and are classified as Type TFN for conductors 18 and smaller. Conductors 14 AWG through 12 AWG is classified as Type THHN/THWN-2. The cable includes a green insulated grounding conductor, and all conductors are cabled with separator tape with the identification print legend to form the cable core. The entire assembly is covered with interlocked aluminium or galvanized steel armour.

Application
These cables are used in high rise buildings, commercial complexes, schools and educational institutions, hospitals, etc. for the connection with security systems like smoke detectors, emergency lightings, exit signboards and fire command center. These cables are used where the fire safety is utmost important.
Technical Data
Voltage Rating: 300/500V
Temperature Range: -30°C to + 70°C (The cable should not be flexed when either the ambient or cable temperature is below 0°C)
